Make a difference

The Grant Thornton campus charity campaign

Winner of the Grant Thornton campus charity campaign draw, and proud owner of a new iPad, Natalie Cormier of New Brunswick.

This year, we set out to design a campus charity campaign that truly reflects the Grant Thornton culture—demonstrating our commitment to making a difference in the communities in which we work and live. Instead of handing out promotional giveaways, we decided to donate the funds we would have spent on these items to a worthy cause.

Students on campuses across Canada were asked to visit our website and vote on their favourite charity. The three charities chosen to participate in this year’s campaign were Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and Breakfast Clubs of Canada—all causes that are close to the hearts of us at Grant Thornton. Ronald McDonald House received the most votes, accepting a donation of $10,000, with Big Brother Big Sisters of Canada and Breakfast Clubs of Canada receiving $2,000 and $1,500 respectively.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Grant Thornton campus charity campaign. We’re very happy to be able to raise awareness and bring attention to the very meaningful work done by these important organizations.
